Why Work with a Board-Certified Medical Illustrator?

As in other fields, not all professionals are alike. It's not enough to have a camera, computer, or drawing skills. Would you want your eye doctor operating on your knee? Consider your options when choosing a partner.

Medical illustrators are highly trained and specialized artists that have been educated in the language of science and medicine. Most medical illustrators have been through a rigorous graduate Masters Degree program in both art (drawing, design, software, problem-solving) and science (biology, cadaver dissection, surgical observation and participation, pathology, and anatomy). Those with advanced doctorate degrees and certifications like the CMI have had even further training and hold themselves to the highest standard for continuing education. Due to the complex nature of scientific information, there are medical illustrators who further specialize in different areas including animation, cell biology, and medical-legal, as well as human and veterinary medicine. What this means for you is a better solution for your visual problem and a solid investment.
